SweetSingles Review

While this dating site has been around for a few months, its still a hot mess. The UI design is cramped, confusing and old school and the overall design looks like a website from a decade earlier. Though sweetsingles.com has a fairly good user base, it’s more popular among locals than foreigners.

The signup process is easy but time-consuming thanks to a large number of fields you have to fill up. The registration form has 10 initial mandatory fields and 4 optional fields. While it’s understandable that some of the information doubles as profile information, the whole signup process could have been done in a more streamlined manner. There is no email confirmation involved in the process but a default email with your password is sent to your email address after creating your free account.

The profile homepage design is poor and cramped, mainly due to the poor navigation bar implementation at the top. It seems the site has 1 primary and 1 secondary navigation bar; the first navigation bar below the site header has multiple preset search filters while the main navigation bar below it has the standard dating site tabs for My Profile, Hotels, Shipping and Search options. Messages, Activities and Friend lists can be can be viewed from a red submenu below the username located under the main navigation bar.

The site is 100% free as it claims and doesn’t come with paid subscription upgrades.

Conclusion:

Though this Thai dating site sticks to fulfilling it’s “100% free” tagline, it does so in a bad way. I was already feeling irritated after browsing 5 minutes in my new profile, which is another way of saying that I would not recommend signing up here unless you’re up for wasting your time.
